Friedrich introduces new PTAC system

System fitted with MERV8 filtration and inverter compressor technology, says company official

Florida, USA, 18 March 2018: US-based HVAC manufacturer, Friedrich has introduced a new packaged thermal air conditioning (PTAC) unit, said T.J. Wheeler, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management, Friedrich.

Speaking about the product, Wheeler said: “The FreshAire PTAC not only saves building owners money over the long run but also greatly increases the comfort of occupants. We are proud to be able to offer a simple, convenient and reliable solution designed to meet the highest standards for indoor air quality (IAQ) in the industry today.”

Elaborating on the launch, Wheeler said that the product is embedded with a MERV 8 filter that reduces air particles and other allergens, which meets the ASHRAE 62.1-2013 standard specifying the ventilation for acceptable IAQ. He added that the system is also fitted with an energy-efficiency inverter compressor.
