Winters introduces its digital transmitters to commercial District Cooling projects
TORONTO, Canada, 4 June 2026: Winters Instruments said its WinSMART digital transmitters – already well established across the industrial process market, the oil and gas sector, data centres and wastewater applications – have found a significant home in the commercial building market.
Making the announcement through a June 4 Press Release, Winters said WinSMART transmitters have now become critical elements of commercial District Cooling projects around the world, where reliability and efficiency are paramount. Winters added that by optimising the system performance of heat exchangers and enabling centralised control, WinSMART products support energy-efficient heating and cooling systems while reducing costs and environmental impact.
Winters said that as more and more cities seek sustainable, energy-efficient alternatives to air conditioning, demand for WinSMART’s reliable, scalable and automated features is expected to continue to grow.
Winters said WinSMART enables real-time monitoring, advanced control logic and seamless integration with existing infrastructure, including HART, Modbus and Profibus, helping operators improve uptime, optimise performance and reduce operational risk across upstream and midstream processes.
Winters added that all of this is backed by a strong track record of success in demanding and extreme environments. Winters said whether managing complex measurements in wastewater applications and oilfields or commercial cooling infrastructure, WinSMART gives operators the benefit of enhanced visibility, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing operational conditions.
