Kingspan Kooltherm FM Pipe Insulation and Kingspan Kooltherm FM Duct Insulation certified by the Council.
Abu Dhabi, UAE: Kingspan Insulation has announced that two of its products — Kingspan Kooltherm FM Pipe Insulation and Kingspan Kooltherm FM Duct Insulation — produced at its Pembridge manufacturing facility in United Kingdom, have achieved Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) certification under the Council’s Insulation Products Certification Scheme.
According to the announcement, Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity standard describes the quality assurances, ozone-depletion potential (ODP) and global warming potential (GWP) details and stringent independent testing that must be addressed in order to ensure the certification of products.
To obtain certification under the Quality and Conformity Scheme, the company said that it supplied a range of performance data and test reports of the Kingspan Kooltherm products, of which both were approved by the Council. Furthermore, the company claimed that Kingspan Kooltherm exceeded the surface burning characteristics required for certification.
Kingspan Kooltherm, the company said, is a premium performance rigid thermoset phenolic insulation, which can be used for insulating HVAC ductwork and pipework. The company highlighted that it can also be incorporated into the construction of floors, soffits and external walls. The Kooltherm technology insulation, the company added, has an aged lambda value of as low as 0.020 W/m.K and it’s phenolic insulation core is closed cell and fibre-free.
Sarmad Fakhri, Managing Director at Kingspan Insulation, said: “We are extremely pleased to have achieved Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity certification. It demonstrates, once again, our commitment to regional certifications and will ensure that all Kingspan Kooltherm Pipe & Duct products continue to be specified in Abu Dhabi.”
