SKM testing lab receives ISO accreditation certificate

Company receives ISO 17025 accreditation certificate from Dubai Accreditation Center (DAC)

Ammar Abdul Lateef

Dubai, UAE: SKM Air Conditioning has announced that the company has recently received ISO 17025 accreditation certificate from Dubai Accreditation Centre (DAC) for its testing lab. The company claimed that it is the only lab in the GCC region to have received this accreditation in this capacity range. With this affiliation, the company said that it will now be able to conduct superior in-house testing, saving time and speeding up the process of product certification.

The assessment, the company highlighted, was done on technical competence, and SKM received Grade B category as per the newly developed quality management system by DAC. It added that SKM testing lab has also been AHRI-certified previously.

“The certification will boost SKM sales as we will now have our own laboratory for products,” said Ammar Abdul Lateef, QHSE and Lab Director of SKM Air Conditioning. “This association is in line with our vision of having a state of art independent testing laboratory. Our work has ensured our credibility of service and with this certification; we are setting an example in the HVAC manufacturing industry.”

SKM further said that it has expanded its testing capabilities by building new testing labs. “Such accreditations,” he added, “will create more business opportunities for us across the GCC, particularly in the UAE and help us in our on-going journey to improvise our service delivery in the region.”
