NFPA requirements, fire safety regulations among key topics to be discussed at the 1st Annual Middle East HVAC Fire Safety Conference

Dubai, UAE: The 1st Annual Middle East HVAC Fire Safety Conference will be held on May 9 at the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa, in Dubai.

Produced by CPI Industry, the publishers of Climate Control Middle East magazine, the conference will be addressing several fire safety issues with a strong HVAC imprint to them. Among various topics, the conference will be examining the factors to be considered while selecting the best equipment, to ensure appropriate civil defense regulations and projects requirements are met; the liability of the client, contractor and manufacturer of fire safety equipment used on a project; and the building fire protection safety audits for Existing Buildings – the common fire protection-related pitfalls found during audits of Existing Buildings.

The conference has the support of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) and will be moderated by Ms. Shamim Rashid-Sumar, President of the UAE International Chapter of the Society.

The conference is an extension of Climate Control Middle East magazine’s long-standing editorial coverage of fire safety-related issues. In addition to reporting on fire safety, the magazine has brought the critical subject to the forefront at its conferences. This is the first time, though, that the magazine will be conducting a standalone, dedicated conference on the role of HVAC in fire safety.

The conference, owing to the support from SFPE and to its highly technical content, has been accorded the status of a PDH (Professional Development Hours) programme.
