Theme to focus on integrating FM with energy sustainability management, says organisers
DUBAI, UAE, December 5, 2017: As part of its on-going initiative to increase awareness of the key role of facilities management (FM) in energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, the Middle East Facilities Management Association (MEFMA) is organising a networking event at the World Trade Club, Dubai World Trade Center on December 13, 2017, the association said through a Press communiqué. The theme of the event is ‘The Integration of Facilities Management and Energy Sustainability Management’.
Speaking on the development, Jamal Lootah, President, MEFMA, said: “Energy efficiency in buildings is essential to the global goal of reducing carbon emissions from energy use. MEFMA is at the forefront of addressing these issues by providing the ideal platform to keep the industry conversation going and bring about fresh solutions for the built-environment sector. Integrating energy management and FM are evolving roles that require fuller engagement among experts and we look forward to more industry professionals participating in this important event.”
According to the communiqué, the event will feature a presentation by Ibrahim Mohammad, Execution Manager, Etihad ESCO, followed by a panel discussion with FM industry insiders, including Farnek Services, Emaar Properties, Enova, Emrill Services and Al Shirawi Facilities Management.
