Abu Dhabi, UAE: TROX has announced that Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi has reportedly become amongst the first in the region to use the company’s chilled beams at their facility, which is set to open later this year. This is part of a 30-year agreement between the city of Abu Dhabi and the French government, added the announcement.
The company revealed that the 24,000-sqm museum, designed as “seemingly floating dome structure” to allow the sun to filter through, is estimated to cost between EUR 83 million and EUR 108 million, and is to be located in the Saadiyat Island Cultural District. In addition to the USD 525 million paid by Abu Dhabi to be associated with the Louvre name, the company mentioned that USD 747 million will be paid in exchange for art loans, special exhibitions and management advice.
