LG launches smart controller for air conditioning and heating products

Company says new AC EZ Touch provides statistics on time and power consumption

United Kingdom: LG has announced launching AC EZ Touch, a new controller for its Multi V VRF systems, multi-split and single-split units, and connectable to the Therma V air-to-water heat pump products.

According to an announcement on its website, the device, with a five-inch colour touch screen, offers smart management for small commercial sites, providing group and individual control. The device, it added, can be scheduled weekly or yearly, and has a total or partial individual controller lock.

The company informed that the device has a power consumption monitor with Pdi, an ‘emergency stop’, a total ‘on/off’ control, two set points — cooling and heating — on each indoor unit with an ‘auto change over’ setting. It added that each space can be controlled through an IP network.

The company highlighted that as with other LG controllers, statistics of operational status — time and power consumption — are provided to help make intelligent system operation decisions. It added that the alarm indicator operates when there are errors, or if it’s time to change the oil or filters.
