Kuwait’s Ministry of Health adopts Intalio’s digital correspondence system
KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait, 16 April 2025: The Ministry of Health (MOH) in Kuwait has announced through a News Release the implementation of a digital correspondence management system developed by Intalio, aimed at addressing longstanding challenges, such as limited accessibility, security concerns, disorganised workflows and scalability constraints. According to the Ministry, the adoption of the centralised system is intended to streamline interdepartmental communication and collaboration with hospitals and other medical entities.
The Ministry said that prior reliance on paper-based correspondence led to delays, inefficiencies and communication gaps across its large administrative network. With a user base of around 70,000, the Ministry noted that ensuring document security was a significant concern, particularly with respect to unauthorised access, tampering and information leaks. It added that the absence of digital tools limited workflow tracking and hindered remote accessibility.
The Ministry stated that Intalio delivered a unified Correspondence System tailored to its operational needs. The platform incorporates several tools, including the Intalio Correspondence Tracking System (CTS), Intalio Viewer, Intalio Digital Signature, Intalio CTS Mobile and Intalio Watermark.
According to the Ministry, the system offers a number of features:
- Automated correspondence workflows: Intalio CTS is said to standardise and automate communication processes, enabling efficient tracking and timely exchanges.
- Document security: The Ministry said the integration of digital signature and watermarking functions aims to ensure document authenticity while preventing unauthorised duplication and leaks.
- Remote access: With Intalio CTS Mobile, users can manage and approve correspondence securely from remote locations.
- Enhanced document viewing: The Ministry said Intalio Viewer simplifies the way documents are visualised and processed, reducing administrative burden.
- Scalability: The platform is reported to support the Ministry’s 70,000 users, facilitating consistent performance and coordination across the system.
The Ministry noted that the implementation of Intalio’s platform has reduced processing time, minimised administrative errors and improved collaboration among departments and healthcare entities. It added that the solution supports bilingual use and complies with international security standards, including ISO 27001.
