Johnson Controls launches Emiratization Engineering Program to support UAE’s Emiratization vision
DUBAI, UAE, 14 April 2025: Johnson Controls (JCI) announced through a Press Release the launch of its Emirati Engineering Program, described by the company as a first-of-its-kind training initiative in the UAE to empower the next generation of Emirati engineers and technical sales professionals.
The company said the programme, which will begin this summer, represents a significant investment in Emirati talent development, supporting the UAE’s Emiratization strategy and reinforcing JCI’s commitment to building a skilled workforce for the future of sustainable infrastructure.
According to JCI, the two-year programme offers young Emiratis hands-on experience and specialised skills across key technical domains, including Installation and Service Operations and Technical Sales. The company stated that participants will benefit from structured rotational programmes designed to provide tools, mentorship and exposure needed to excel in the engineering and smart infrastructure sectors.

This programme will allow participants access to world-class training and career pathways to make a lasting impact in the industry”, added Tekeli.
JCI said the Emirati Engineering Program offers six structured rotations across the following areas:
- Installation and Service Operations – covering engineering design interpretation, equipment installation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Technical Sales and Customer Engagement – covering product knowledge, market analysis, customer relationship management and sales strategy
The company added that graduates of the programme will be equipped to assume leadership roles in engineering, project management or technical sales, supporting JCI’s mission to deliver smart, efficient and sustainable solutions.
