India-based SRF sets up a new plant to double the production of R-32

The plant is expected to be commissioned in December 2017

India: According to a news report in the Cooling Post, India-based chemical company, SRF will be spending an estimated amount of EUR 22 million on a new R-32 refrigerant plant in Dahej, Gujarat.

The new plant, the report said, which is expected to be commissioned in December 2017, will double the capacity to 80,000 tonnes per annum, and is an addition to the company’s existing plant at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.

According to the information available on the company’s website, SRF owns a Fluorochemicals business, and the refrigerants are sold under the brand name of Floron, the report added.
