Eurovent, AMCA Europe, EVIA publish second edition of FAQ guide on fan regulation
BRUSSELS, Belgium; WARSAW, Poland, 14 May 2026: Eurovent said it joined hands with AMCA Europe and EVIA to publish the second edition of a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) guide on Regulation (EU) 2024/1834, as amended, laying down Ecodesign requirements for fans.
Making the announcement through a May 14 Press Release, Eurovent said that following the publication of the first edition, in September 2025, experts from the three associations continued their cooperation to develop a common industry interpretation of additional provisions under Regulation (EU) 2024/1834 on Ecodesign requirements for fans, which has since been amended by Regulation (EU) 2025/2481.
Eurovent added that the second edition includes updated FAQs addressing general issues as well as product information requirements, requirements at partial load, resource efficiency requirements relating to spare parts and product information requirements for spare parts of fans.
Eurovent said the guide – developed through a joint effort by participants of its Product Group, ‘Fan Technology (PG-FANS)’; members of AMCA Europe and members of the EVIA Fans Working Group – represents a majority of manufacturers of these products active in the EMEA market.
