Empower discusses District Cooling machinery requirements with JCI

Two entities also review results of their DC technology collaboration

Dubai, UAE: H.E. Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, received a senior delegation from Johnson Controls International (JCI), to discuss his company’s machinery and equipment requirements for District Cooling, Empower has announced. The two companies, said the announcement, reviewed the results of their technology collaboration in the District Cooling industry, and agreed to strengthen their efforts in technology research to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

The two entities, said Empower, also discussed the new global trends in the District Cooling industry, best practices for the industry’s growth and the latest technologies and innovations achieved.

Santiago Perez, VP & GM for Europe, Middle East & Africa & Latin America at Johnson Controls, reportedly gave a Chiller Mode model to Bin Shafar in appreciation of Empower’s efforts in the field.

“The meeting with Johnson Controls was aimed to discuss ways to expand cooperation,” said Bin Shafar. “Empower’s vision about technological advancements in District Cooling sector goes in line with that of Johnson Controls. We highlighted to the visiting company the drive of the UAE to adopt best worldwide practices as far as environmental sustainability is concerned.”

He added that Empower focuses on the integrated relationship between energy and water in an effort to conserve the natural resources of the UAE.
