Dubai Municipality wins International Leadership Award for Food Protection at IAFP 2016
IAFP 2016 is an annual conference organised by the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP).
Dubai, UAE: According to a news report in the Emirates News Agency website (WAM), Khalid Mohamed Sharif Al Awadhi, Executive Director of Food Safety Department at Dubai Municipality, has been awarded the International Leadership Award at IAFP 2016, an annual conference organised by the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), held in St Louis, Missouri, United States.
Al Awadhi, the news report said, was nominated for the award “in recognition of his effective role and leadership in the development of food safety systems in Dubai”. Al Awadhi is reportedly the first official in the Middle East to win the award, it added.
