Lauds contribution to tourism sector and urges them to raise food safety standards
As part of continuous communications with strategic partners and in a bid to raise the levels of food safety criteria as well as health and technical parameters of four and five star hotels in Dubai, the Food Inspection section at the Dubai Municipality Food Control Department met with regional heads and high officials concerned with food safety working with various international star hotel chains in Dubai, Sultan Ali Taher, Head of Food Inspection section of the Dubai municipality, has informed through a communiqué
During the meet, he reportedly addressed about 40 representatives of Dubai-based international star hotel chains and made a presentation about food safety monitoring systems that Dubai municipality follows, as well as about the technical and safety levels of hotels in the emirate. The presentation was followed by a discussion.
Ali Taher informed that the programme was held as part of translating Dubai Municipality’s vision of “sustainable monitoring for safe food” into practice as well as to be in line with the needs and requirements of the booming tourism industry in Dubai. He lauded the star hotels for playing an important role in the tourism industry. He urged all the star hotels to endeavour to win rank “A” in excellence in the evaluation conducted by the Dubai Municipality.
