Mark Wang, General Manager of International Sales, Chigo

China, 4 March 2019: Chigo is in the process of fully upgrading its product range, said Mark Wang, General Manager of International Sales, while providing an update on the company’s activities for 2019. “We will create a family-oriented appearance for DC-inverter VRF, mini VRF, various light-commercial indoor and outdoor units, and comprehensively improve their performance,” he said. “A series of new products, such as air-handling units and household modular chiller, have been launched,” he added.

Speaking on how the company aims to future-proof its equipment in view of increasingly stringent regulations, Wang said Chigo is committed to developing new products with higher energy efficiency and lower-GWP refrigerants, adding that light-commercial products with R-32 refrigerant are now being launched for overseas markets. “However, R-32 still needs a long acceptance process in the domestic market,” he said. “The key lies in policy, cost and security issues.” Wang added that owing to government’s regulation of housing prices, aesthetic requirements from real estate developers are driving vigorous development of household air conditioners and that the company views integrated solutions as “the trend of the future”.
