Castel extends GOGREEN line with ASME-certified safety valves for transcritical CO₂ systems

Milan, Italy, 5 June 2025: Castel Srl announced the expansion of its GOGREEN product range with the launch of the new 3030E series safety valves, now certified by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and designed for use in transcritical CO₂ systems up to 150 bar.

Making the announcement through a Press Release, Castel said the ASME certification allows the company to offer these valves in the North American market, extending its international footprint and complementing its existing 3030 series, which is approved for subcritical systems operating up to 50 bar.

According to Castel, the new 3030E valves provide a coordinated safety solution across both subcritical and transcritical CO₂ applications. The company added that the development reflects its ongoing investment in natural refrigerant technologies and in components that meet international standards of performance, reliability and safety.

Castel said the 3030E valves are engineered for medium-capacity refrigeration systems and are particularly suited to OEMs and contractors working with CO₂-based systems in commercial and industrial applications.

The company noted that the latest expansion of the GOGREEN range reinforces its strategic focus on sustainable innovation, with particular emphasis on supporting energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact.

Castel stated that the new offering consolidates its position as a reference point for CO₂ component innovation within the global refrigeration industry.
