Castel expands GoGreen CO2 portfolio with UL-certified 3-way ball valves

LOMBARDIA, Italy, 11 May 2026: Castel said it is strengthening its commitment to natural refrigerant solutions through its GoGreen range, dedicated to CO2 (R744) systems, including both subcritical and transcritical applications. Making the announcement through a May 11 Press Release, the company said 3-way ball valves within the portfolio represent a well-established and reliable solution designed to meet the needs of modern refrigeration systems.

According to the company, the valves improve energy efficiency through application flexibility, including the integration of condensing units with heat recovery systems, while also simplifying maintenance operations by enabling the bypass of parts of the refrigerant circuit.

The company said the valve design complies with UL requirements, making the range suitable for the North American market. According to the company, it also provides complete motorisation solutions, including UL-certified actuators and dedicated accessories for optimal coupling.

Castel added that 3-way valves are also available in V-port versions for applications requiring more precise flow control, enhancing modulation performance.

According to the company, it provides a comprehensive set of technical documentation to support designers and operators in selecting the most suitable configuration.

Castel said the valves are designed for use with R744 refrigerant and are available with connections ranging from 3/8” to 2.18” and from M10 to M73. According to Castel, the valves support a maximum working pressure of 90-140 bar and an operating temperature range of -40 degrees C to +150 degrees C. The company added that models are available in both full-port and V-port configurations.
