Bitzer compressors receive two ACREX Awards of Excellence

Sindelfingen, Germany, 20 March 2018: Bitzer, the compressor manufacturer, received two ACREX Awards of Excellence at the ACREX India trade show held in Bengaluru, India, from February 22 to 24, the company announced in a Press communiqué.

According to Bitzer, the jury awarded the prize for the category ‘Green Products’ to the OS.A95 screw compressors for their use of the natural refrigerant ammonia and the runner-up prize to the Ecoline reciprocating compressors with IQ module, in the ‘Innovation’ category.

Harvinder Bhatia, Managing Director, Bitzer India, said, “We were able to convince the jury with two products and are proud that the independent panel has awarded this important prize to our innovations.”

According to Bitzer, the OS.A95 screw compressor, which won the prize in the category Green Products, offers a climate-friendly and powerful solution for ammonia applications. The natural refrigerant has no global-warming potential and does not damage the ozone layer, the communiqué added.

The communiqué further said that the Ecoline reciprocating compressors with IQ module, which received the runner-up award in the Innovation category, offer maximum energy efficiency in full- and part-load and are designed for a very extensive range of applications in supermarkets and beyond.

The communiqué also said that the ACREX Awards of Excellence are conferred annually.
