AtmosAir calls for real time IAQ monitoring as wildfire smoke degrades air quality

FAIRFIELD, Connecticut, USA, 17 July 2026: AtmosAir’s CEO Steve Levine addressed customers in an open letter as Canadian wildfires continued to push smoke across much of North America, with air quality falling to some of the worst levels recorded in the country.

Making the announcement through a 17 July Press Release, AtmosAir said more than 100 million people were facing unhealthy air filled with microscopic particles from wildfire smoke, with the Midwest and Northeast hit hardest. AtmosAir added that cities including Detroit and Minneapolis ranked among the most polluted in the world during the period.

AtmosAir said that while outdoor air quality was dominating headlines, conditions outside can cause indoor air to degrade just as quickly without adequate protection. AtmosAir added that when outdoor conditions deteriorate, continuous monitoring and air purification become necessary to maintain healthy indoor environments.

AtmosAir said its systems continuously measure air quality in real time while reducing airborne contaminants, helping facilities maintain cleaner indoor air through prolonged smoke events. AtmosAir added that the systems are deployed across healthcare facilities, hotels, commercial offices, schools and other occupied spaces.

AtmosAir said wildfire smoke is becoming a recurring seasonal reality across North America, and that protecting indoor air is no longer a comfort issue but a health and wellness consideration.
