The Al Naboodah Construction Group (ANCG), has announced that its employees took part in activities concerning safety, health, environment and corporate social responsibility, during the company’s annual sustainability week in 2015.
Under the umbrella of the ‘Clean up the World Campaign’ ANCG volunteers collected 5.2 tonnes of garbage at the Ras Al Khor fruit and vegetable market, the announcement said.
Also, during the week, 2,000 staff reportedly attended free medical check-ups, and the company introduced new life-saving rules to its employees in a day-long focus on safety, as well as a blood donation campaign and clothes collection for Red Crescent.
About clean-up efforts at the fruit and vegetable market, Rob Munn, HSE Manager at Al Naboodah Construction Group, said, “It just goes to show what a valuable and tangible contribution our employees can make to the environment.”
