Aldar Properties’ residential projects making headway

Abu Dhabi, UAE: Aldar Properties has announced that it is continuing to make strong progress across its portfolio of residential projects.

According to the announcement, residential construction activities are progressing well at West Yas, Aldar’s first villa community on the Yas Island, with piling, sewerage, utility, telecommunication and lighting work almost complete.

The announcement informed that the development structure at Al Hadeel, the latest residential community to complement Al Raha Beach’s suite of existing luxury residences, and at Ansam, an Andalusian-style apartment development on the West side of Yas Island, are now complete, with MEP and internal block works ongoing.

Furthermore, the civil and MEP works, the announcement said, have commenced and remains on schedule at Al Jimi Mall, reportedly the first shopping and entertainment destination at Al Ain, whilst shoring, excavation and structural works are progressing well across the construction site.

The company added that appointment of the main contractor for Shams Meera, mid-market development located in Abu Dhabi’s Reem Island; Nareel, a master-planned island community and Al Merief, a community specifically designed for UAE Nationals in Khalifa City, are all imminent. Authority approvals for all the projects, it added, have been secured and the tendering process is in the evaluation stage.

Work is currently underway at the Abu Dhabi Plaza

Following an evaluation by Urban Planning Council in May, the main school, to be operated by Aldar Academies, has been awarded with a two pearl rating, reportedly confirming its compliance with Estidama goals, and is currently in the process of being handed over, revealed the company.

Aldar said that progress is being made on the structural work of Abu Dhabi Plaza, an integrated development located in Astana, Kazakhstan, with MEP, block work, cladding and interior work all underway across the hotel and serviced apartment blocks. The development, it added, includes residential apartments, commercial offices, a hotel,  a 26,000 sqm retail mall and a serviced apartment building.
