Company claims it has in-house ability to integrate BIM data into existing FM process
Dubai, UAE: UAE-based Al Shirawi Facilities Management has announced its certification as a British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) Accredited Training Organization (ATO).
The British Institute of Cleaning Science, purportedly the largest independent, professional and educational body within the cleaning industry, selected four employees of Al Shirawi FM, including supervisors and operations executives, to undergo an intensive five-day training course conducted by a certified trainer from BICSc UK, the announcement revealed. Participants, the announcement added, were trained and assessed in basic and advanced cleaning skills and a variety of cleaning methods.
According to Al Shirawi FM, the company’s ILMA Training Center, designed for diverse practical training, will now be used to impart BICSc standard cleaning methods to others. The international accreditation is reportedly an assessment of the technical competency of Al Shirawi FM’s housekeeping staff, and ensures that their services meet the highest international standards.
The company claimed that it is committed to the sustainable development of Dubai, and has the in-house ability to integrate data from BIM into the existing facilities management process.
“The BICSc recognition reaffirms Al Shirawi FM’s position as a facilities management service provider, with the highest international standards,” said CEO Navin Valrani. “We are the only FM company in the UAE to successfully incorporate smart technologies for large-scale projects. Our green approach to facilities management and technologically-advanced methods are now bolstered by well-equipped staff trained to an international accredited standard. The added value will benefit our diverse clientele.”
