AHRI to host HVACR event in Dubai
DUBAI, UAE, 1 July 2026: The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) will host AHRI Talks MENA: Shaping the Future of the HVACR Industry, on July 7 at Fairmont The Palm in Dubai. Making the announcement through a Press Release, AHRI said presenters will discuss new performance standards, testing labs and programmes intended to grow the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) industry in the Middle East and North Africa.
The AHRI Talks event, AHRI said, is part of a series it is hosting across the globe to address critical issues pertinent to its member companies and the wider industry.

“We are grateful to our partners, the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers and the ASHRAE Falcon Chapter, as well as to the UNEP OzonAction Compliance Assistance Program, for supporting this important event,” said Nabil Shahin, AHRI MENA Managing Director.
AHRI Talks MENA, the Institute said, will include presentations from GCC Lab, the region’s first independent, third-party testing lab for HVACR equipment, as well as from AHRI staff and leading experts on high-ambient standards; the AHRI Certified Environmental Product Declarations Program; low-GWP refrigerant research; and testing air-handling units, as they are built. It will feature a Keynote Address by Burhan Jaber, Vice President of Engineering and R&D at SKM Air Conditioning, and will conclude with time for feedback and networking, AHRI further said.
“AHRI Talks is an important forum for HVACR and water heating industry stakeholders to connect on the advancements being made in support of MENA’s sustainability goals,” Shahin said. “Regional consultants, specifiers, building managers and engineers are encouraged to join this event to be a part of the conversation that is shaping the future of our industry.”
