Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO, Empower, to participate in IDEA Campus Energy 2019

The conference will be held from February 26 to March 1, 2019, in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, says company’s representative

Dubai, UAE, 24 February 2019: Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO, Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the District Cooling services provider, is heading a delegation that will participate in the International District Energy Association (IDEA) Campus Energy 2019, the company announced in a Press communiqué. The conference is organised by IDEA, in conjunction with the IDEA Board meeting, and will be held from February 26 to March 1, 2019, in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, the communiqué said.

Bin Shafar will also participate in the meeting as a member of the Board of Directors of IDEA, the communiqué said. The delegation will take part in workshops that will discuss thermal distribution and smart networks, the communiqué further said. The opening session, which will be steered by Rob Thornton, President, IDEA, will review current trends, emerging technologies, development of the utility and transportation industry, and give a comprehensive vision of the risks and benefits of a more flexible, efficient and  low-carbon future for energy systems in universities, health care centres and research centres, among others.
