Empower signs agreement to deliver District Cooling for Palm Gateway

Dubai, UAE, 16 March 2025: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) said it has entered into an agreement to deliver District Cooling services to the Palm Gateway project in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Making the announcement through a Press Release, Empower said the project will receive a total cooling capacity of 9,470 refrigeration tons, with service expected to commence in the second quarter of 2026.

H.E. Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO, Empower, said the inclusion of Palm Gateway in Empower’s portfolio reflects the confidence of real estate developers and customers in its District Cooling services. He stressed that Empower is dedicated to providing high-quality solutions that use up to 50% less energy than conventional cooling systems.

H.E. Bin Shafar added that the company aims to provide world-class District Cooling services across residential, commercial and hospitality sectors in Dubai. He emphasised that these efforts strengthen the Emirate’s position in carbon emissions reduction, in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

According to Empower, Palm Gateway is a high-profile residential project consisting of three interconnected towers with a distinctive architectural design. The development features retail outlets, fine-dining restaurants, shopping facilities, healthcare centres and fitness establishments, making it one of Dubai’s most dynamic residential communities. With panoramic glass windows offering views of Palm Jumeirah, the project enhances the living experience through its integration of modern amenities and a scenic urban outlook, Empower said.
