Training on ‘Building environmental quality’ commences in March

Domosystem, touting itself as ‘a moisture specialist’, has announced that it will devise and conduct workshop-training programme around the theme of Building environmental quality, with a focus on energy efficiency, indoor air quality, life cycle and training oneself to reduce the environmental impact of human activities. The workshops will be held in Paris on March 22 and 27 and on June 5.

Calling it an investment to better understand buildings and the challenges of a complex ecosystem, the company claimed that the sessions would be run by experts, and added that apart from the theoretical content, the course would include case studies and stimulating interaction between trainees.

Domosystem has provided the following schedule:

  • March 22: Conciliating indoor air quality and energy efficiency
  • March 27: Air quality and health in tertiary buildings
  • June 5: Life cycle assessment applied to buildings

According to Domosystem, given the workshop format, the number of participants will be limited to about 12 or 15 per session, to allow a genuine exchange of views and discussion of case studies and good practices.

The organisers said that the workshop-training programme would benefit the following:

  • Professionals from quality, environment, real estate and building sectors
  • Technical directors, health and environment managers
  • Architects, building surveyors and project managers
  • Consulting firms and economists
  • Manufacturers of materials and construction products
  • Environmental associations, patient associations and those involved in analysis and control laboratories

Domosystem said that it would offer the participants special purchase conditions with suppliers that integrated life cycle assessment into their services and/or products.
