Dh200-million project to be ready in March 2015

Drake and Scull Kuwait (DSK), a subsidiary of Drake & Scull International (DSI) PJSC, has announced signing a Dh200-million contract to execute the MEP package for the College of Art, as part of the Sabah Al-Salem University development in Shadadiya in Kuwait.

On the occasion, Khaldoun Tabari, CEO of DSI, commented: “We are progressing steadily in Kuwait, and we have managed to secure Dh430 million worth of work year to date. Investment in educational institutions is at the heart of the government’s social development programmes in the region. The Kuwaiti Government recognises the implications of ensuring high quality education and its magnitude in securing a sustainable future economic growth. Substantial funds have been dedicated to decrease illiteracy rates through the development of a wide range of educational institutions across the nation, and we intend to take a significant part in these developments.”

Explaining that DSI has experience in the educational development industry and that it specialises in integrated MEP services for schools and university facilities, Tabari added: “We have adopted specific design policies and applications of proven technologies and systems on educational projects similar in scale and complexity. We intend to mobilise on site shortly, and we expect to deliver the project in March 2015.”
