DUBAI, UAE, 12 June 2022: The fifth edition of Construction Technology Festival (CTF), on June 7 and 8 in Dubai, discussed digitalisation and sustainability in the presence of AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) representatives, amongst others, b2b Connect, the organisers of the event said.
The event also hosted the first PropTech Festival, which brought together the value chain to focus on how technology can be better scaled across each discipline., b2b Connect said.
Attendees listened to discussions on digital asset management, property management, and facility and community management, and on how digital innovations can increase asset value, reduce operational costs and deliver better experiences for end-users, b2b Connect said.
Katie Briggs, Show Director, Construction Technology Festival, and Partner, b2b Connect, said: “It was a delight to host, introduce and interact with the AEC industry’s digital advocates. According to b2b Connect, the Festival explored 10+ digital disciplines, including digital twin, Internet of Things (IoT), drones, machine learning, the Metaverse, gamification and ERP implementation.
Speakers from The Red Sea Development Company, ROSHN, Dubai Municipality, DAMAC Properties, Deyaar and Saudi Aramco, amongst others, discussed issues relating to changing industry practices, including digital transformation; virtual construction; modern methods of construction; and ways to decarbonise the built environment; migrating to the cloud, b2b Connect said.
The event also hosted the Construction Technology Awards 2022, which recognised individuals, projects and organisations on the basis of their accomplishments in digitalisation and sustainability, b2b Connect said, listing them as follows…
