Vice President, RGF, identifies challenges and trends in the US IAQ market

Educating both the contractors and the consumers on the various IAQ technologies available, along with their proper use and applications, can be a task, says VP, RGF
[caption id="attachment_25372" align="alignright" width="141"] Walter Ellis, Executive Vice President, RGF Environmental Group[/caption] Florida, USA, 6 March 2019: The HVAC market in the United States is a wholesale-driven one, said Walter Ellis, Executive Vice President, RGF Environmental Group. “The wholesale distribution channel,” he said, “gives contractors the opportunity to add value for their customers, while creating an additional revenue stream to their existing activities.” Highlighting a challenge, Ellis said that educating both the contractors and the consumers on the various IAQ technologies available, along with their proper use and applications, can be a task. Commenting on emerging trends in IAQ in the United States, Ellis said he believes that consumers today are more aware of the IAQ levels in their homes, schools and offices. Elaborating on how RGF was responding to the trend, he said, “We try and combine technology into an easy-to install package, because that is what contractors are looking for.” Pointing to certification as a key factor, he said, “We’re also one of the few ISO: 9001-2015 quality certified manufacturers in the IAQ industry, which makes delivering high-quality, reliable products a priority.”
