Arlington, Virginia, USA, 27 February 2019: Tony Evers, Governor, Wisconsin, signed an executive order to make Wisconsin the 20th state, along with Puerto Rico, to join the United States Climate Alliance, AHRI announced in a Press communiqué. The alliance now makes up 49% of the population of the United States and represents a GDP of over USD 10 trillion, with 35% of all US greenhouse gas emissions, the communiqué said.

According to AHRI, the alliance aims to live up to the goals of the Paris Agreement, including pursuing goals, such as reducing short-lived climate pollutants, mobilising financing for climate projects and grid modernisation.
