Cairo, Egypt, 25 November 2018: Honeywell will demonstrate Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, designed to power Egypt’s smart city ambitions, at Cairo ICT 2018, taking place at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, from November 25 to 28, under the patronage of H.E. Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the company announced in a Press communiqué.

Held under the theme of ‘Driving Transformation’, Honeywell will showcase hardware and software solutions that promote greater safety, security and energy efficiency for cities and buildings, the communiqué said. The company will also highlight specific solutions that leverage data analytics and cloud technologies to drive operational efficiencies across the country’s commercial buildings, hospitality and healthcare facilities, the communiqué further said.

Egypt’s Vision 2030 has placed a strong emphasis on the importance of increasing innovation and achieving national development, both economically and environmentally, the communiqué said. Urban expansion has been outlined as a key pillar within the Vision, in which forming smarter cities will help accommodate a growing population and improve quality of life for citizens across the board, the communiqué further said.

According to Honeywell, at Cairo ICT 2018, the company will display a wide range of solutions from the Command and Control Suite (CCS) for building and city management, to safety, security and energy-saving technology, including fire alarm and intrusion systems, CCTV, Building Management Systems, as well as hospitality facility management software technology from Honeywell INNCOM, and many others.
