Dubai, UAE, 25 October 2018: H.E. Ludovic Pouille, the French Ambassador to the UAE, will be a special guest at the Climate Control Awards, to be held on November 27 in Dubai. The Awards, produced by CPI Industry, publishers of Climate Control Middle East magazine, recognise and honour stakeholders in the HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) industry for their contribution to socio-economic and sustainable development through business best practices and cutting-edge and cost-effective technological solutions and services.

The Republic of France has been at the forefront of global efforts at shining the light on the need for the world to do more to mitigate climate change. It hosted the pathbreaking Paris Agreement in 2015 and shaped the world’s consciousness for increased action on arresting the increase in global warming, when French President Emmanuel Macron urged the international community to work towards making our planet great again, during the One Planet Summit, in 2017, a task that, given an increasingly complex social, political and economic global order, is formidable and requires years of focused effort.

In addition, the French government in 2017 announced a €57 billion (USD 65 billion) investment plan spanning 2018-2022, including €20 billion (USD 22.82 billion) for an ecological transition. One of the plan’s main aims is to guide France towards carbon neutrality through thermal building renovation, developing renewable energies and rolling out a sustainable transport system.

Over the years, Climate Control Middle East and the Climate Control Awards have stood for an honest appraisal of efforts to safeguard people and planet and to ensure good health and support for industries and other wheels of the economy. In that context, the magazine and the Awards exercise are honoured to host a representative of the Republic of France. His Excellency’s presence is viewed as having the potential to inspire the HVACR community towards greater business and engineering excellence.

The Climate Control Awards (www.climatecontrolawards.com), into its eighth year, will honour individuals and organisations in 25 categories that span such areas as energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, food safety and fire safety. The ceremony is expected to attract senior government officials in the region, think-tanks, industry associations, master developers, developers, facility owners (in hospitality, healthcare, education, arts & culture, FMCG and aviation), architects, consultants, contractors and FM professionals.
