Haktan Karadeniz, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University and part of the group advocating the creation of the centre.
Dr Karadeniz said that the group is actively looking for funding and partners for this extended project. “This will include all of the phases from material development to on-site application,” he said. “Development of the 3D printing technology specialised on the subject will also be a purpose of this institution. A facility for growing the innovation and R&D studies will be the initial step for our long-term aim.”
Currently, Dr Karadeniz said, the research group has an ongoing project focusing on topology optimisation of heat transfer surfaces of air-to-air heat exchangers for Heat Recovery Ventilation Units.
