Construction of Reem Mall makes rapid progress

USD 1.2 billion project on Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, will house more than 450 retail brands, company official says

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 24 June 2018: Al Farwaniya Property Developments, the developer behind Reem Mall, an under-construction retail, dining and leisure destination on Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, highlighted the progress of the USD 1.2 billion project in a Press communiqué.

Construction of Reem Mall commenced in late 2017, and, upon completion, the mall is set to have 2 million sq. ft. of leasable area (2.9 million sq. ft. of floor area), which will house more than 450 retail brands, dining options and a range of entertainment destinations, including the Snow Park Abu Dhabi, the communiqué said.

Commenting on the construction update, Shane Eldstrom, Chief Executive Officer, Al Farwaniya Property Developments said, “We’re very excited about the pace at which Reem Mall construction is progressing. We look forward to delivering this world-class destination to the people of Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.”

According to Al Farwaniya Property Developments, the infrastructure works had commenced with geotechnical investigations required for the project’s elevated roads, which, when completed, will provide easy access to the mall.
