Eurovent Middle East announces air filtration and IAQ workshop

Speakers will include experts from the UAE and Europe, association says

Dubai, UAE, 8 March 2018: The Eurovent Middle East association has announced its next free-of-charge “HVACR Leadership Workshop”, on “Air Filtration and IAQ”, to be held on March 26 at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, the organisation said in a Press communiqué.

The communiqué said leading air filtration experts from the UAE and Europe will share their knowledge on state-of-the-art air filtration, as well as its effects on IAQ and health. A leading filtration expert, Tobias Zimmer, Global Product Manager Comfort, Camfil, will provide a keynote presentation, with specific focus on the new Eurovent 4/23 industry standard about how to select ISO 16890-rated air filters for general ventilation, the communiqué further said.

According to the association, the following topics will be the focus of the workshop:

  • Fundamentals of air filtration and indoor air quality
  • How to select ISO 16890-rated air filters for general ventilation
  • Indoor Air Quality involvement in operating theatres
  • The Eurovent Certified Performance (ECP) certification programme for air filters

Brian Suggitt, Chairman, Eurovent Middle East, said: “A good indoor climate is crucial for our children’s learning abilities, for productivity at the workplace, our comfort, health and wellbeing. Our speakers are going to introduce many practical solutions on how our sector can contribute to better indoor air quality. They will also shed light on why good indoor air quality ultimately pays off.”

The communiqué said the “HVACR Leadership Workshops” is a seminar series by Eurovent Middle East, tailor-made for engineering and MEP consultants, investors and planners in the UAE, with the core aim of informing them about standards and industry recommendations in the field of ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. The communiqué further said prospective participants can register for the workshop at www.eurovent.me and participation is limited to 60 people.
