ASHRAE announces training on HVAC design essentials for MENA region

Society says course will offer participants practical skills and knowledge to design and maintain HVAC systems

ATLANTA, USA, December 4, 2017: ASHRAE has announced the dates for its new course on HVAC Design Essentials, which will run from January 14 to 16, 2018, at the new Global Training Center for Building Excellence in Dubai, UAE, the society said through a Press communiqué.

According to the communique, the course will provide participants with the practical skills and knowledge to design and maintain HVAC systems, and also provide them with real-world examples, based on the renovated ASHRAE Headquarters and on buildings in the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) region.The training leader for this course is Walid Chakroun, Ph.D., Fellow ASHRAE.

 “There is a clear need for easily accessible and effective training for our industry professionals in the MENA region, and through the Global Training Center, ASHRAE is committed to providing those resources,” said Chakroun.“By offering this training, we are giving an opportunity to architects, engineers, technicians and suppliers to expand their breadth of knowledge and gain necessary practical experience in the industry.”

The communiqué further stated that all participants would receive course credit, recognised by the ASHRAE Global Training Center for Building Excellence.
