Chris Peel elected as new Chairman
Arlington, Virginia, USA, November 19, 2017: Chris Peel has been elected as the new Chairman of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), the institute said through a Press communiqué. The election was held at AHRI’s annual meeting held from November 12 to 14 in Miami, Florida.
According to the communiqué, Peel is also the President and COO of Atlanta-based Rheem Manufacturing.
Speaking on the occasion, Stephen Yurek, President and CEO, AHRI, said: “We are honoured to recognise very deserving individuals and innovative leaders. We are very grateful to them for their service to AHRI and the HVACR and water heating industry.”
According to the communique, in addition to the election, AHRI also presented the Richard C. Schulze Award to a number of individuals, recognising them for their commitment to AHRI and the goals and objectives of the industry. The winners of the award were, Joe Boros, Engineering Manager, Product Development R&D, Rheem; Janine Brady, Program Manager Certification, AHRI; Eugene Faris, Vice President Engineering, Nailor Industries; Nicholas Giuffre, President & CEO, Bradford White; Rob Uselton, Engineer, Lennox Industries, and Jim VerShaw, Chief Engineer Residential HVAC, Ingersoll Rand.
