ENGIE Refrigeration’s chillers to cool Boehringer Ingelheim Ellas’ production processes

Lindau, Germany: Lindau-based ENGIE Refrigeration has announced that its Greek sister company, ENGIE Hellas, has installed its Quantum chillers to cool production processes and offices of Boehringer Ingelheim Ellas in Koropi, Athens, Greece.

Boehringer Ingelheim Ellas, the announcement said, is a pharmaceutical company that specialises in the production of consumer healthcare products. The company, the announcement highlighted, applies high standards to the cooling of production processes, since the exact and controlled temperature and relative humidity environment in the premises is crucial to the manufacture of pharmaceuticals.

According to the announcement, ENGIE Hellas has installed three Quantum type X080 chillers with a cooling capacity of 2.4 megawatts (MW) in total. It has also installed a Quantum type X040 chiller, which can also be used as a heat pump. The chillers, the announcement revealed, has a cooling capacity of 300 kilowatts (kW) and a heating capacity of 400 kW, and they are characterised by high engine smoothness and operational security. Thanks to its integral Open-Flash-Economiser and magnetic-bearing compressor, the Quantum, the company highlighted, possesses maximal energy efficiency, which was very important to the client. ENGIE Hellas takes care of the service and maintenance, added the company.
