RetrofitTech KSA 2016 seminar gets off to a positive start

Event supported by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu

RetrofitTech KSA 2016Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Supported by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, and organised by Advanced Conferences & Meetings, RetrofitTech has announced successfully launching the RetrofitTech KSA 2016 seminar on October 24, 2016, at The Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh. Being the first edition, the announcement said that the seminar was aiming to explore the challenges and opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s emerging retrofitting and refurbishment industry to achieve energy efficiency goals.

The announcement revealed that the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), Etihad Esco, Shaker Group, Arriyadh Development Authority, Sabic, Yanbu, KEO International, AECOM, Dar Al Riyadh, Dar Al-Handasah, King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE) attended the event.

The event, the announcement highlighted, featured many presentations, including: “Challenges and opportunities in KSA’s emerging retrofitting and refurbishment industry” by Dr Abdullah Al-Rfaie and Hisham Al Fouzan from SABIC, “Sustainable Smart Communities and Near Zero Energy Buildings” by Khaled Bushnaq from EMS, “Urban planning toward the energy efficiency in Arriyadh city” by Ibrahim Alshaye from the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh, and “Presentation and progress of Etihad ESCO, the official Dubai Super ESCO” by Stephane LeGentil from Etihad Energy Services.

The company mentioned that the event received “hugely” positive response from delegates and sponsors for the speaker line-up as well as for the opportunities to network with the industry’s key decision-makers. According the company, it received the following responses from the participants: CEO of Philips Lighting said, “RetrofitTech KSA is a great opportunity for energy saving solutions”, an engineer from KACST commented, “It was a very good conference with a high level of speakers that will help me advance in my career”, and a project manager from Dar Al Handasah added, “I encourage people to attend the next edition”.

Providing details of Day 2 (October 25), the company said that the seminar will host speakers from KEO International Consultants, Alpin Limited, Quantum Eurostar Energy Solutions (QESCO), Enova, Etihad Energy Services, Al Salem Johnson Controls, Armstrong Fluid Technology, CPA Consulting, Danfoss and Eco Engineering Energy & Water Solutions (ECOSOL Saudi Arabia), in addition to featuring a case study on Etihad ESCO.

The seminar, the company said, is being held with the participation of Etihad Esco, Shaker Group, Philips, Armstrong, Danfoss, Al Salem Johnson Controls, Eurostar, Trane, Rasmi, and Phoenix Mecano.
