Company says the cloud-based device can be accessed remotely
Kennesaw, Georgia: Carrier, part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp, has announced releasing the Carrier Connect Wi-Fi thermostat for commercial buildings. The new, sleek touchscreen thermostat allows for controlling a building’s HVAC system from anywhere in the world – from within a facility, or via smartphone, tablet or computer, said the announcement.
The thermostat, the announcement said, is easy to install and cloud-based, making it both accessible and affordable. Stating that it allows building owners to better manage the building’s energy usage, the company revealed the following features of the thermostat:
“We are excited to add the Connect thermostat to our existing portfolio of commercial products,” said Mark Jones, Business Manager, Carrier Controls. “The new Carrier Connect thermostat provides building owners with an innovative and affordable option for controlling the HVAC system in their buildings.
