Glossop, United Kingdom: Kingspan Industrial Insulation has announced that following rigorous testing, Eurofins has awarded its product — Kingspan Kooltherm FM Pipe Insulation range — an Indoor Air Comfort Gold certificate.

According to the announcement, the Indoor Air Comfort certification programme was created to harmonise the criteria of mandatory and voluntary product regulations, from across Europe, which govern VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emissions.

The certification, the announcement revealed, recognises the insulation range as an outstanding material according to the VOC Indoor Air Quality emissions regulations, achieving an A+ under the French VOC Regulations, a pass under AgBB, and compliance to both BREEAM and LEEDv4 on European projects, including the United Kingdom.

The programme, the company said, requires manufacturers to engage in a process of continuous testing and auditing; thus, giving assurance of the maintained performance and quality, it added.

Kingspan Kooltherm FM Pipe Insulation, the company explained, delivers thermal and fire performance with thermal conductivities as low as 0.025 W/m·K. It added that it holds a BDA Agreement certification and an LABC Registered Detail & Warranty.
