Dubai, UAE: H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, has announced the completion, installation and inauguration of the 400 kV Series Reactor, in addition to a number of other projects, in Jebel Ali, worth a total investment of AED 79 million. To be operational in 2018, the utility said that it works to increase the efficiency, accountability, and capacity of its electricity transmission network, at a capacity of 400 kilovolts (kV), using advanced international technology.

Al Tayer said: “DEWA’s ongoing efforts aim to improve its transmission, distribution, and electricity systems and services, to meet the needs of customers, developers, and other sectors, based on the highest standards of availability, accountability, efficiency, and safety. In 2015, there was a total of 20 substations, spanning over 1,120 kilometres.”
