Kelvion appoints new Chief Executive Officer

Robert Wassmer to take up the position, effective as of 1 July, 2016

Bochum, Germany: Kelvion’s shareholder committee has announced that Robert Wassmer would be joining Kelvion, a globally active manufacturer of industrial heat exchangers, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Kelvion Holding, effective as of July 1, 2016.

Robert Wassmer, the announcement said, has a PhD Degree in Engineering from the University Karlsruhe (TH) and throughout his career, has held various national and international executive management positions, in addition to having a strong track record of creating significant value, in particular, during his time as Chairman of the Executive Board at Knorr-Bremse Schienenfahrzeuge, the European Rail Equipment Subgroup of Knorr-Bremse.

Before that, the announcement informed, he was Executive Vice President of DEMAG Cranes as well as CEO of Gottwald Port Technology, President of MAG Industrial Automation Systems Europe and President of Bombardier Transportation´s Division Bogies.

The company also revealed that Klaus-Peter Glöckner had joined the Kelvion Management Board as the new Chief Sales Officer (CSO) in January 2016 and as Managing Director of Kelvion Holding in April 2016. The company mentioned that Glöckner, who holds three university degrees, had over the last twelve years, successfully formed and developed the plate heat exchanger business within Kelvion. Prior to that, it added, he held various sales and general management positions at Ingersoll-Rand and Jagenberg in the United States, United Kingdom and France.
