The conference, organised by the International District Energy Association (IDEA), will be hosted by Empower for the third time
Dubai, UAE, 9 December 2018: The Eighth International District Cooling Conference & Tradeshow will begin on Monday, December 10, in Dubai, the organisers announced in a Press communiqué. The conference is hosted by Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) and the USA-based IDEA, with the theme ‘Effective Energy for Smarter Cities’, the communiqué said. It will take place till December 11, 2018, at the Atlantis The Palm, Dubai, the communiqué further said. A special master class on microgrids will be one of the pre-event highlights of the conference, which will be conducted on December 9, the communiqué added.
Ted Borer, Energy Plant Manager, Princeton University, will deliver an intensive course designed for experienced energy professionals seeking advanced guidance on industry best practices in operating mission-critical microgrids, the communiqué said. During the master class, he will share his expertise in operating microgrids for enhanced resiliency and efficiency, the communiqué further said.
