Tabreed surpasses one million refrigeration tonnes of cooling capacity

Company says milestone achieved when it recently commenced the supply of chilled water to Dubai Parks and Resorts
[caption id="attachment_15769" align="alignright" width="234"]Jasim Husain Thabet Jasim Husain Thabet[/caption] Abu Dhabi, UAE: National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed) has announced through a press statement that it has surpassed one million Refrigeration Tonnes (TR) of cooling capacity. According to the statement, Tabreed recently commenced the supply of chilled water to Dubai Parks and Resorts, reportedly the largest integrated theme park destination in the region, set to open later in 2016, resulting in the company reaching the milestone by delivering more than 30,000 TR of cooling to the destination. Dubai Parks and Resorts, the statement revealed, will be home to four theme parks: MOTIONGATE Dubai, LEGOLAND Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai and Six Flags Dubai, which is expected to open in late 2019, as well as LEGOLAND Water Park. Jasim Husain Thabet, CEO of Tabreed, said: “This is a significant milestone to celebrate for our company and with our customers, and we are proud to deliver our services to such an iconic theme park in the region. Tabreed has an industry leading regional presence providing cooling for large-scale, developments, such as Dubai Parks and Resorts, for which district cooling offers significant environmental benefits and cost savings.”
