Brussels,Belgium/Sharjah,UAE: Eurovent has announced that SKM Air Conditioning has joined as Corresponding Member following a formal approval by the Eurovent Board.

Eurovent has said that the Sharjah-headquartered company, founded in 1974, manufactures a large range of HVAC products including, for example, air handling units (AHUs), chillers, condensing units, fan coil units (FCUs) and packaged units.

SKM, Eurovent highlighted, is the winner of Climate Control Awards 2015, an annual award given to forward-thinking HVACR organisations active in the UAE, and is a manufacturer of products that hold the ‘Eurovent Certified Performance’ mark. It added that the company employs over 1500 people and has a sales network reaching across the EMEA region.

“Joining the Eurovent Association is exactly in line with SKM’s mission to grow internationally with high-efficiency products and competent employees to provide consistent quality and customer satisfaction,” said Abdul Karim Al Saleh, COO of SKM.

Furthermore, he said that European legislation and standards have increasingly become important to manufacturers in the Middle East as the aim is to set an example in the region. “With a strong growth of air conditioning equipment sales in GCC countries,” he added, “we need to put Indoor Air Quality as a key priority on the environmental agenda. Eurovent is playing a major role in this respect.”
