Awareness and education, tenant-led demand, government legislation and product innovations are key reasons, Managing Director says
New South Wales, Australia, 16 August 2018: There has been a steady growth in demand for comprehensive IEQ solutions globally. Chris Matthews, Managing Director, Silenceair International, gleaning from his observations of the market, said the uptake is owing to a combination of several factors. First, he said, is awareness and education driven by professional organisations and researchers, finally making inroads in the industry. Secondly, he said, tenant-led demand for healthier work places, both from a corporate productivity and personal health perspective. Third, he pointed to government legislative requirements that force “laggards and sceptics to improve their facilities”. Lastly, Matthews said that product innovations, offering new and improved solutions to designers and engineers, have also contributed to moving the dial towards greater investment in IEQ solutions.
