BRUSSELS, Belgium, 15 September 2021: shecco said it has repositioned itself as ATMOsphere, updating its offerings to better address a growing global need for future-proof refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump solutions.

Saying that the world has changed significantly in the past year, the organisation added it felt compelled to adapt to the new business reality in a post-pandemic way, whilst continuing its mission of accelerating the transition to clean cooling solutions. The organisation said it has united – and expanded – its offerings under the ATMOsphere umbrella brand.

Traditionally, the organisation said, its business included events, market development and media activities – a service offering that has been significantly expanded to adapt and excel in the new reality businesses find themselves in since 2020. The power of the ATMOsphere brand, it said, is amplified by an extensive network. It spans the whole globe and includes more than 50,000 industry stakeholders – from policymakers and academia to end users, and from manufacturers to everyone in between, it said. “The global cooling market is experiencing significant disruption; business-as-usual is no longer feasible,” said Marc Chasserot, Founder & Group CEO, ATMOsphere. “Investors, end users, and manufacturers need support to navigate this complex landscape. That is where ATMOsphere comes in.”

The refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump sector – collectively referred to as just ‘cooling’ – plays an important role beyond just curbing CO2 emissions and addressing global warming, the organisation said. At the core of ATMOsphere’s mission is a belief that urgent action is needed to ensure job creation, a healthy economy, and the wellbeing of people and the environment, it said.

The organisation said it now offers a solution for any stakeholder who wants to scale up and clean up cooling solutions. Solutions include, but are not limited to ATMO Connect, which it said, boasts more than 900 users and is a Slack-based platform that allows ATMOsphere members to engage in real-time with like-minded cooling experts worldwide.

The organisation said its ATMO Conferences have already hosted more than 60 events around the world, defining the future of cooling via exclusive in-person (and online) networking and best practices. ATMO Virtual Trade Show is an annual 24-hour global virtual trade show and summit for the clean cooling industry with multi-platform livestreaming, it said. And ATMO Marketplaces’ platforms offer global, independent and curated marketplaces for natural refrigerant and clean cooling technologies.

ATMO Associates, launching in October, it said, will connect users to a credible and experienced expert anywhere in the world to design a natural refrigerant product, process or strategy.
