Revealing that reorganisation of the production process has now improved the manufacture of its larger condensers – with lengths up to 12 metres – GEA has introduced Searle condensers, which the company claims offers structural design with greater stability for large-dimensioned units.

The manufacturer lists the following product features and benefits:

  • The side walls of these condensers are fabricated in one piece, which contributes to the stability required for condensers of such large sizes.
  • Despite this gain in stability, the unit enclosure has a reduced weight.
  • The housing has been optimised to reduce the resistance to the flow of air, which in turn, lowers energy required by the fans.
  • A large selection of fans is available, providing an optimal choice for matching the heat exchangers in the system, which leads to effective heat exchange with low power consumption.
  • Use of smaller copper tubes with a diameter of 12 mm compared to predecessor models has resulted in a lower unit internal volume, thereby reducing the system charge required.
